On this sheet
- 0 × 8 = ▢ — answer: 0
- 8 × 2 = ▢ — answer: 16
- 6 × 8 = ▢ — answer: 48
How to teach it
- Start with the tables that have patterns: 2, 5 and 10.
- Use a known fact to find a new one: 6 × 7 is 5 × 7 plus one more 7.
- Turn it around: 3 × 8 is the same as 8 × 3, so every fact learned is two.
- Practise one table until it is quick, then mix it with the ones already known.
